JetAge Studio Copper MeshThis is the same type of mesh used in the 'Chaos' technique by Sherry Bellamy.

3"x5" sheet of 'expanded' copper with approx. 1/8" openings. Sheet can easily be cut with a regular pair of scissors. You can also anneal this copper with a regular lighter to twist into different shapes before it is applied to the bead. Just heat the section you want to use until glowing orange, let cool, and see how pliable it becomes!

When available, we also have "slightly irregular" sheets offered at a discount. These sheets are the 3"x5" size, but may be marred with a crease or ding. These sheets still have plenty of usable surface area, so if you don't mind that it's not perfect, this is a good deal for you!

JetAge Studio Brass Mesh fine weave

Copper & Brass Sheets Are Now Sold Out

Want to create super bubbly effects? Then give our finely woven, 80 mesh brass and copper mesh a try! Mesh produces micro-fine sparkly bubble patterns in your beads when encased. Shown to the left is the brass sheet which produces champagne colored bubbles; copper produces pinkish colored bubbles. Easily cuts with a regular pair of scissors into any shape! We recommend trying a small piece or ribbon of mesh to test it's effects in your work. Sheets are 3"x5" in size, and a little bit goes a long way.

Working Tips: Heat your bead base then apply the mesh with tweezers. This mesh should be worked cooler, and kept out of direct exposure of the flame. Using the transparent glass of your choice, quickly encase the mesh using wide strokes, heat through and watch the bubbles form! This product offers an exciting effect, but as with working with any metal product, it can be prone to fuming under the high heat conditions and care should be taken to ensure proper ventilation. Bead example aboveshows the micro bubbles that form after mesh has been encased and heated through. This bead is approx. 1/2" wide and approx. 1/4" wide ribbon of
mesh was cut to length and then placed on the molten bead base to completely cover the circumference. Bead was held high in the flame to keep the mesh cool, and then completely encased in clear. Be sure to anneal your beads thoroughly.

JetAge Studio High Temperature Fusing WireAccording to the manufacturer, this high temp wire is good up to a Cone 6, which translates to just over 2000 degrees Fahrenheit! Wire is 20 gauge, and is a great option when you need to create a hook, or loop in your fused jewelry or other fused glass creations. Create your loops with a regular pair of pliers and sandwich between glass layers and fuse away! Please note: after firing, the metal will not remain silver, it will oxidize black.

Wire is sold in 1 foot increments, and in a continuous length of up to 2 feet.

JetAge Studio fine silver wireCurrently Sold Out

Fine silver wire in 30 gauge (super thin). This fine silver is 99% pure, and is wonderful to melt into glass to create random and organic effects (see bead examples). Just spot heat an area on your bead, set in one end of the wire, cool, then wind the wire around your bead and cut off the excess. Pass the bead into the flame until the wire melts into the glass and balls up. Wire is offered in 1 foot incriments with no limit, and is cut into one continuous length.
