"Cosmic Sandstorm". New large barrel style focal by Renee Wiggins. There's lots of layers and depth in this bead.

The base of this bead is black, with layers of bright yellow-orange, ribbons of silver rich bluish-purple glass, transparent violet, and topped with an opaque blue-purple glass. This bead is heavily encased in clear and finished with a custom silver rich murrini that shines gold and milky blue. A very dramatic, and totally unique look!

Focal size is just over 1 1/2" long by 1/2" wide at it's center and tapers to 3/8" at the ends. Bead hole is 1/8".

Blissful, peaceful, dreamy..."Nirvana". This smaller focal bead was pulled out of my collection, and was part of a series I did two years ago.

I'm using a couple of different US made silver-rich glasses to produce these effects. One of these glasses produces the gorgeous tones of ultraviolet and electric blue when the light is reflected. Backlit, the coloring appears amber. The other produces wispy turquoise and buff colored tones; beautiful over the brilliant purple-blue! There are also a few raised dots of white with reactive light blue, as well as marigold orange. Scattered through out are intricate millifiori flowers. Each "milli" is created by me prior to making the bead. The milli making process is very labor intensive, but the results are stunning! My beads are always finished in a controlled kiln and properly annealed for strength and durability.

This smaller focal is a flattened, oval shape, and measures approx.
1 1/4" long by about 3/4" wide, and about 3/8" thick. Hole diameter is 1/8".

Large "fat" barrel style focal by Renee Wiggins. "Coral Mesh" features my signature "mesh" technique. I'm using the reactive properties of a new silver rich glass that react and change color wonderfully when another silver glass is placed on top. It's a labor intensive process to get the patterning, but the effects are stunning! Colors featured are a rich coral-orange with contrasting "mineral green" tones as well as dark toned reaction lines. Bead also sports raised dots of jet black and turquoise blue atop ivory. It is also heavily encased in clear for added depth.

Focal is just over 1 1/4" long, by just under 3/4" at it's widest point through the middle and tapers down to approx. 3/8" at the ends. Hole size is 1/8"

"Glass Mesh". New large focal by Renee Wiggins aka JetAge Studio. This focal bead features a new silver rich glass that reacts wonderfully when another silver glass is placed on top. The patterning is achieved through a labor intensive process. This "mesh" floats over a base of black with swirls of turquoise, periwinkle and a heavy layer of clear for added depth. Bead is encased in more clear and adorned with our reactive "Passion Flower" murrini as well as some key lime green and off white dots. A very dramatic, and totally unique look!

Focal size is just under 1 1/2" long by just over 11/8 " wide and approx. 3/8" thick. Bead hole is 1/8".

New large focal by Renee Wiggins aka JetAge Studio. Silver rich bead is loaded with beautiful shimmer and shine! It features Italian glasses, and some American made silver glass along with a sky blue stringer melted in throughout. Dominant colors in this bead are black, turquoise, and blues, but there are so many other colors. With the light reflected, the blues greens and purples are very dominant. When backlit, the gorgeous ambers in this silver-rich glass comes out! This bead also has a few custom murrini, and raised dots of opaque black as well.

Cool and bright, this teal and "Mojito" (hand mixed color) green dominant colors make up the main colors in this large focal. Finished with a twisting corkscrew stringer in coral red, some colorful handmade murrini and raised dots in turquoise, this one is just plain fun! This focal also features some 22k gold leaf. It's very three dimensional with a lot to look at; made with several layers of clear over the intricate details at the base.
