"Moonflower" glow-in-the-dark murrini! A fun new effect in murrini! We hand mix our own glow powder with a clear 104 compatable glass to produce this brightly glowing murrini. It's very labor intensive, but is a super fun effect we love to play with. We've created two different murrini for this blend, one that shines aqua and one that shines green, and you'll get a few of each color in each pack. We have a limited amount of these in stock, but will continue to make new color blends with this great glow-stuff as fast as we can.
Viewed in regular light, these "flowers" have a ghostly appearance. The layers of color are muted beneath the translucent white "glow" layers, lending a unique look. If exposed to strong bright light, the glass will then glow when viewed in the dark. Glow effect varies depending on last exposure to bright light, but in our experience it will glow bright for at least an hour there after. Great effect for your "underwater" themed beads!
Murrini are 104 coe compatable, and offered in packs of 20. They also vary in sizes 4-7mm. Murrini may have a rough texture prior to melting onto your beads, but will smooth out once melted in. Use just as you would our other murrini. Bead must be completely cooled before the glow effect will show.

In this blend, you'll get the wonderful oranges, corals and reds found in "Marigold", "Persimmon" and some new reds previously unreleased. 104 coe murrini "Trio" sampler is offered in packs of 25. Sizes are an average of 3-5mm. Check out our other "Trio" blends!

In this blend, you'll get the wonderful blues, greens and teals found in "Ocean", "Indigo" and "Sweetpea". 104 coe murrini "Trio" sampler is offered in packs of 25. Sizes are an average of 3-5mm. Check out our other "Trio" blends!

In this blend, you'll get the wonderful purples, lavenders and and pinks found in "Heliotrope" and "Carnation". 104 coe murrini "Trio" sampler is offered in packs of 25. Sizes are an average of 3-5mm. Check out our other "Trio" blends!

Rainbow murrini! A fun murrini, and YAY this makes us so happy! This murrini is LOADED with color, infact there are 10 different color stripes on the outside layer. On the inside, the core of orange really shines through with a layer of bright green peeking out there as well. These fun 104 coe murrini are on the larger side with the average size being 5-6mm to really pack a color punch. 10 chips per baggie.
The wonderful set to the right is made by Pam of Powder Mill Glass and here she is using some of our rainbow murrini. A long-time artist with a passion for glass, Pam has so many wonderful sets of bead beauties to look at, so please visit her site soon!
We combine multiple packets of the same murrini ordered into one baggie. If you need your packets in separate baggies, please specify at checkout.

Kuba! A striking, graphic blend similar to our Zulu blend, but in neutral browns, straw yellow, off whites, black and super saturated goldstone. A great detail to add to your "safari" or animal print themed beads, or something different to experiment with! These chips are on the larger side, averaging 4-7mm. Offered in packs of 25 or 50, and are 104 coe compatable.

"Goldrush" murrini uses a unique silver rich glass that actually shines gold when lightly reduced. Goldrush is also part of the current version of our "Silver Murrini Blend", but we decided to make it a single because it's just so darn cool. As mentioned, this murrini's super shiny gold tone is achieved by exposing it to a light reduction flame (about 1/2" to 1" size candles), and lusters up quickly with a few bounces in this flame. Work cool to maximize the luster. Luster will also accululate with multiple reducing and cooling cycles. We've found that if the final exposure to the reduction flame is followed up by a light hit of an "almost" neutral flame after cooling a bit, it actually enhances the shine, but you'll have to experiment with your torch to see what works best for you.
***Please Note; Goldrush is offered in packs of 20 chips in the average 3-5mm size. This murrini also is available in a "micro" size, which is a tiny 2mm average size; please choose your preference from the drop down menu. Why offer them in a couple of different sizes? We like the delecate detail these give, and look awesome when tucked in combination with our other brightly colored murrini, and they're so fun to mix and match sizes that we want to offer it to you as well. But, not everyone is comfortable working with the micros so we'll leave it up to you. We'll throw in a couple extra of the tiny ones to make up weight.
The stunning bead set to the right is by Gretchen Simons of Piedra Designs. This set features our Goldrush murrini capped in clear for a fantastic effect. Visit Gretchen's Etsy shop to see and purchase her creations.

"Passion Flower Lite" is a gorgeous new light version of our "Passion Flower" 104 coe streaky murrini that features a limited run silver-rich glass. Like it's regular version, it produces fantastic random shades of crimsons, ambers and purples, but less of the blues. Super easy to work this one; you just melt it on like any of our other standard color murrini, press in and cool (or leave raised). It will strike in the flame, and will NOT overstrike in the kiln! See the examples in our focal bead to the right.
Working tip; if you experience some bubbling or boiling while melting in the chip, just increase your fuel a little to produce a slighly reducing environment. Bubbles will smooth right out. Pack contains 20 chips, in a variety of 3-6mm sizes.

Sorry, this murrini is now retired.
"Passion Flower" is a gorgeous new 104 coe streaky murrini that features a limited run silver-rich glass that produces fantastic random shades of crimsons, ambers and purples. The streaks enhance the purple/blue shades for a wonderful striated effect similar to our Mojo Raku murrini (this is NOT a Raku glass, however), but is completely different. Super easy to work this one; you just melt it on like any of our other standard color murrini, press in and cool (or leave raised). It will strike in the flame, and will NOT overstrike in the kiln! The examples you see above were on several beads that were garaged at 925F for at least 3 hours, then annealed at 940F for 45 minutes. The colors stay gorgeous!
Working tip; if you experience some bubbling or boiling while melting in the chip, just increase your fuel a little to produce a slighly reducing environment. Bubbles will smooth right out. Pack contains 20 chips, in a variety of 3-6mm sizes.

Silver Blend. This blend is made with several different silver-rich glasses to produce some outstanding effects. Heavily reduced, these will "bloom" with the characteristic milky turquoise and blue colors, as well as producing a metallic sheen. These murrini work best if reduced and struck a couple of times to bring out these lovely colors, but you can experiment to find the best results for your work. Murrini image example shows what each of the three colors look like against a white background, and a black background. The base color you choose to use these murrini on will greatly effect the way they look, but we think that's part of the fun! We hope you enjoy this blend as much as we do.
Sold in 20 or 40 chip packs. Murrini are an average size of 3-5mm.
This blend contains more colors than shown.

"Mojo Raku" is a super neat streaky murrini that features Raku on the outside, and multiple layers of black, clear and white on the inside. Not your ordinary Raku murrini, this one is a bit different in how it was made so it produces some neat striations. It is a 104 coe. This raku doesn't need to be super heated (in fact we recommended them NOT to be super heated at all) to get the neat color variations. Pack contains 20 chips in a variety of 3-6mm sizes.
We combine multiple packets of the same murrini ordered into one baggie. If you need your packets in separate baggies, please specify at checkout.

"Conchas de Plata".....something completely new...silver murrini (as in the color!). This is a 104 coe murrini with a similar look to "conchas" (aka "conchos"). This murrini is comprised of neutral tones in black, white and grey and once melted in, it will turn silver in the slightest oxidizing flame. Silvering can be enhanced by waving the murrini in and out of the flame and is super easy to work. This murrini is a bit on the "soft" side, meaning it will spread very easily if too hot...although that may be a look you want!
Keep it on the "cool" side or apply as a last element to keep the shape sharp. Do not encase. Experiment!
Pack contains 20 chips in a variety of 3-6mm sizes.
